Dental Veneers in Broken Arrow

Porcelain dental veneers are a dramatic and easy solution to improve the look of your smile. These cosmetic restorations are bonded to the front of your natural teeth, instantly covering cosmetic concerns such as staining and misshaped enamel. They are also ideal for people who have:

  • Crooked teeth
  • Gaps in your smile
  • Uneven or chipped teeth
  • Severe discoloration
  • Unusual tooth shapes or sizes

Because cosmetic veneers are customized to each client, we’ll determine the color, shape, and size of each tooth. Your entire smile is transformed as we glue the veneers side by side.

When to Consider Veneers

When several of your visible teeth are healthy but require cosmetic modification, veneers are usually the best option. Because of their less intrusive nature, dental veneers are a fantastic choice if your teeth are in great shape but could use a little help looking their best. Their thin design is comparable to what you see when you put a false fingernail, only in this case it’s a coating of porcelain on your teeth instead of a false fingernail.

Because your upper front teeth are the ones that are most noticeable when you smile, we'll usually propose a set of 6-8 veneers that span across the teeth that are most visible.

Dental Veneer Treatment

Cosmetic veneers are applied over a period of multiple visits. To prepare your teeth, we'll buff off a tiny layer of enamel during your initial visit. This step is relatively conservative, so if you choose, you can skip the local anesthetic.

Then, we'll take impressions of your teeth once they've been prepared so that our lab can manufacture each custom restoration. Together, we'll choose the perfect porcelain shade and hue for your personal aesthetic goals. While the permanent veneers are being created, we'll apply a set of temporary veneers for you to wear, and the permanent set will be applied at a later appointment.

Caring for Veneers

Properly maintaining your new veneers is vital to ensuring that they last as long as possible. Flossing is required on a daily basis. Carefully wrap the floss around your teeth and glide it up and down several times before tucking it just below the gum line. Move on to the next tooth by lifting the floss over your gums. Veneers are not damaged by flossing, but won’t last as long if they are not flossed. It's also a good idea to get an electric toothbrush and use it twice a day.

Despite the fact that your veneers are made of porcelain, they aren't as strong as natural teeth. Avoid biting straight into harder foods with your top front teeth. To keep your veneers as dazzling as possible, avoid activities like smoking, consuming a lot of coffee or tea, and anything else that could stain them. It’s also important to keep up with your six months checkups.
